I will be setting up a research group at the Koita Centre for Digital Health, IIT Bombay starting Summer 2026, with a focus on AI-driven population health, neurodegenerative disease, and climate–health interactions in the Indian context. I am actively recruiting motivated PhD students and postdoctoral researchers.

Disease Progression Modeling for Neurodegeneration in India
Developing scalable, causally grounded event-based models for Alzheimer's and related dementias, validated on Indian cohort data (LASI-DAD) and enriched with digital biomarkers from passive smartphone sensing — speech, typing, and motor behavior.
Requirements: Background in statistics and AI/ML.
PhD PositionStarting 2026
Environmental Exposures and Health Outcomes in India
Using causal inference methods to quantify the health impact of extreme heat and air pollution on cardiovascular, respiratory, and maternal outcomes in India — with a focus on vulnerable subpopulations and policy evaluation via natural experiments.
Requirements: Foundation in statistics and AI/ML.
Postdoc PositionStarting 2026
Postdoctoral Researcher — AI & Population Health
Open position for researchers with expertise in machine learning, epidemiology, or biomedical data science. Opportunities to lead independent projects and collaborate across the KCDH ecosystem at IIT Bombay.
Requirements: PhD in a relevant field.
